Communicate WOW! this Thanksgiving

Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

For the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, you’ll likely see many friends and family—some you have’t seen in a long time. Why not WOW! them with terrific conversation and powerful repartee.

Use the IAP Formula as your guide. What’s your Intent for a particular conversation or toast? Be specific. Who’s your audience? Do some Audience Analysis in order to decide what your audience can handle. Your Powerful Performance comes through as you use words, body language, and facial expressions that any particular audience will appreciate and understand.

The IAP Formula also works for tricky communication situations with grumpy relatives or less-than-fun other types.
Here’s to your WOW!

Authenticity and You

Monday, May 7th, 2012

Unlocking your own authenticity could be the answer to all your communication questions. I’m often surprised when people fully realize their authentic self is what resonates most powerfully with others. There’s no magic bullet. There is a fine-tuning and a continual crafting of how to deliver your authentic self.

If you’re funny, use humor as a way to deliver your message. If you’re not naturally funny, I don’t suggest you try jokes for the first time in front of an audience of 1000. I like to say I’m Roshini every day of the week and no matter to whom I’m speaking. What changes is my audience. That means my delivery should adjust to what that particular audience needs. Here’s to your WOW!

Happy Anniversary

Thank you Roshini Performance Group community. We salute you as we celebrate six years in business.

Here’s to your WOW! as you continue to communicate that! in your professional and personal lives.

Tip of the Day: Grammar

Monday, November 28th, 2011

I’ve been hearing a lot of people say: “I had ran,” or, “I had ran that last year.”

This hurts my ears and is grammatically incorrect. Realize that your use of language is part of your communication tool box. When you’re on, you position yourself to WOW! When you’re off, you may lose key business or it may never even be a possibility for you.

Thanksgiving Toasts

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Big days (and big turkeys) call for big toasts. Whether you want to be simple or in-depth, the IAP Formula can help you.

Identify your Intent. Analyze your Audience. Powerfully Perform.
Remember less is more. Some quick ideas: honor the chef, toast a family elder, recognize a family tradition.

No matter which direction you choose to go, have a clear intent with what you’re trying to say. Understand who the audience is in front of you in order to perform in a way this audience will appreciate.

Happy Thanksgiving and here’s to your WOW!
